Pastoral Care and Counseling

Gestalt Pastoral Care
Gestalt Pastoral Care (GPC) is a model of healing ministry that integrates Gestalt therapy, Christian spiritual direction (companioning) and healing prayer. It is grounded in the belief that God’s grace is constantly at work in each person, and that God desires to heal holistically-body, mind, spirit, emotions and social context – in a way that is specific/unique for each person.

Spiritual Direction/Spiritual Companioning
Spiritual direction is a relational process where a guide/director helps someone/directee deepen their relationship with God or grow in their personal spirituality. The spiritual director listens, asks questions, and helps the person to discern where and how God is working in their life to help them reflect and grow spiritually.

Spiritual Exercises for Everyday Life (S.E.E.L.)
S.E.E.L. is a program that helps people incorporate prayer into their daily lives and deepen their relationship with God and others. It is also known as a “retreat in daily life,” The exercises are a collection of prayers, meditations, and reflections created by St. Ignatius Loyola and born out of his own personal experiences in prayer. The exercises are led by a director weekly or monthly over a period of weeks.
