What We Believe

About The Bible
We believe all Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, is God’s revelation to humanity that we might live in conformity to God’s will, thought, and purpose. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

About The Godhead:
We believe in the one God who eternally exists as one essence, distinguishable but indivisible, revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:21-22, John 15:26)

About Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and all-sufficient work of Jesus Christ upon the cross. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:12-14, Romans 5:11)

About Water Baptism
We believe that water baptism is the obedient response to the command of the Lord. It is the outward expression of the internal spiritual reality of the believer. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 19:1-6)

Original Sin
We believe God originally created the human in His image. Sin entered by disobedience and rebellion and rendered humanity incapable of saving itself. (Romans 5:12, Genesis 1:27)

About The Messiah
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man. (Luke 1:26-35, John 1:1,14,18, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6)

About The Resurrection
We believe Christ our Savior died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. (Luke 24:5-7, Acts 2:24, 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, Romans 4:25)

About The Ascension
We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, exalted as Lord and Christ. (John 14:2-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

About Five-Fold Gifting
We believe the church is the body of Christ and that Christ gave to the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

About The Church:
We believe the church is the body of Christ, formed to experience and participate in the personal life of the Son of God as a living organism having its life, essential nature and personality inherent in the Triune God of Grace, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:22-23, Ephesians 2:19-22, Colossians 1:18, 1 Corinthians 12:13)
